High Power Rifle Division

The Rio Salado high power rifle range features 15 firing points under cover at the 500 yard line. There are two sets of pits, one at 200 yards and one at 500 yards.The two sets of retractable target frames are positioned behind safety berms and are manned for scoring during matches. 300 yard course of fire is shot on distance reduced targets.The High Power Division is proud to present six different activities of center fire, high power rifle shooting:
Introduction to High Power Rifle & M1 Qualification Clinic (4th Sunday April & 2nd Sunday October)
80 Round Regional Match (3rd Saturday Oct-April)
COMBINED Round John Garand M1 AND 50 Round Curio & Relic Match (2nd Sundays Oct-April)
60 Round Prone Match NRA Mid-Range (4th Saturday)
Summer 50 Round National Match (2nd Sun and 3rd Sat May-Sept)
As a reminder, eye and ear protection is MANDATORY on the Rio Salado property.
