What To Know
-
Should I submit a complete campaign or a single execution?
We are looking for good ideas. And one great idea is better than a number of mediocre ones. Whether it’s a single entry or a campaign, make sure to put your effort into crafting an idea that will connect with audiences and impress. -
Can I submit more than one entry?
Yes. Just remember that quality always trumps quantity. -
Do I have to be enrolled in an advertising program to be eligible?
No. You could be studying Mechanical Engineering or Advanced Plumbing for all we care, as long as you have a great idea and are hungry for innovation. -
Does my presentation have to be in a digital format?
Yes. Entries are submitted as a link to either a PDF, video, slideshow, presentation or website. -
Can I change my submission once I've entered it?
Not a problem. Email us with your details and entry code at futurelions@akqa.com. Entry deadline has been extended to April 25, 2014. -
Am I eligible to enter if I’m working but still in school?
If you’re a student with a job, sure. If you’re a professional taking HTML5 classes somewhere at night, sorry, you’re not eligible to enter. Maybe you can influence the advertising industry in another way. -
Does my concept have to be digital?
No. We're just looking for great, innovative ideas. -
Does my work have to be in English?
No, but a clear English translation must be provided along with your entry. -
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes. You must be 18 years old on or before June 15, 2014. -
What should my team look like?
That’s up to you. It could be the traditional ‘Art and Copy’ team or it could not. Everyone involved will get credit if your team wins, but only two of your team members will get a trophy and registration pass to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Your team would decide who attends. -
Is there an entry fee?
No. You're a student. Keep your money. -
Who are the judges?
AKQA's Future Lions Council and guest judges. The AKQA Future Lions Council consists of Brendan DiBona, Duan Evans, James Hilton, Rei Inamoto, Nick Turner, Johan Vakidis, Ben Jones, Stephen Clements and Rob McIntosh.
