May 17th 2007 - We are having problems with the blacklist generation process. We apologise for the inconvenience and will resolve it as soon as possible.

May 18th 2007 - The problems with the blacklist generation have been resolved but it will be monitored for further issues.

May 19th 2007 - A few duplicate entries have been found from items imported from dmoz but the code is corrected and tonight's build should have no problems but we continue to monitor.

June 21st 2007 - You may have noticed a short period of downtime today. This was the server being upgraded with more RAM and bandwidth.

October 28th 2007 - From today onwards the blacklist text files will no longer be randomized for use with DansGuardian. This is to allow simpler scripts for updating your blacklists using the diff files. If you use the blacklist unmodified with DansGuardian then you may need to unsort the files.

November 6th 2007 - Unfortunately some people using DansGuardian have had some problems now that the lists are provided in sorted lists rather than randomized lists. For help resolving this problem please see the FAQ section. We appologise for the inconvenience. Also at the same time we have doubled the bandwidth and increased RAM and CPU in our server. We hope you like the new speeds.

May 12th 2008 - An error in the email server configuration has caused emails over the last few days to be held up. None should be lost however if you don't get a response please resend.

September 25th 2008 - Some improvements and removals of some duplicates are being done which means the generation of a new list will be delayed slightly.

September 27th 2008 - Improvements are now complete and daily generation of the list should be back to normal.

Disclaimer: URLBlacklist.com does not provide a categorised list that is completely inclusive of all web sites in existence - that would be impossible. We provide no warranty or guarantee of the service. We can not be held responsible for the sites or URLs listed in the blacklist. The blacklist does contain sites which are wrongly categorised which is due to the bulk of the entries being collected using automatic scripts. However we will do our best to improve the 'remove' list via submissions so the incorrect categorisation will be minimised and the most common problem sites are unlikely to have a problem.
