How does Technology Affect your Mental Health?

In the last few years, technology has been blamed for just about everything. From lack of communication skills to the supposed greater amount of violence in kids. The only thing that I think that technology is to blame for is the growing need for a duck face filter.

Always on Dussehra, my sister who is a rung up in the family ladder would remember the older one who lived with us briefly. She was not too old when she fell ill on a winter night that thundered and wept with rain. By the morning she was gone, a few days short of my second birthday, and one of her own too.

Radical self love started in my bedroom and became a worldwide movement.

I want you to throw out everything you think you know about self-esteem. You know those books that say, “I’m okay, youÁ€™re okayÁ€«? F that. YouÁ€™re not Á€œokayÁ€«. YouÁ€™re SPECTACULAR. YouÁ€™re a gem in the rough. YouÁ€™re a shimmering, exploding supernova. YouÁ€™re a bombastic, bodacious, badass babe.

I saw a film about my all time favourite American rock musician, Janis Joplin (1943-1970), called Final 24 on the Biography channel. Because this biography concentrated on the last day of her life on earth, they failed to mention that Janis Joplin appeared at Woodstock on the weekend of 16th-17th August 1969. However they did briefly mention the Á€œFestival Express TrainÁ€« across Canada in mid 1970.

So far we have been bossing the streets in Melbourne. It's been known as the most European city in Australia. The edgy graffiti is gorgeous and the streets are filled with musicians and stunning architecture. We purchased our first "Myki" metro passes and are ever so slowly falling into the Aussie lifestyle. The inspiration is endless and we found ourselves in Art shops strewn over the city, not to mention Rebecca found my Asian doppelgö¤nger. I think we'll stay here for a while.

All sorts of odd things happen at Lita's castle. Even a trip on a mundane lift turns magical when a sorceress goes along for the ride. The fun of fantasy worlds is that anyone can turn the mundane into the fantastic. Consider the magic of elevators. You enter the box on the ground floor of…

People have been programmed to make choices out of a fear that is passed off as logic or practicality. Our understanding of time has left us in fear of running out of it. There is no such thing as time, only a measurement between our desires and their manifestation within our reality. People become to attached to the idea of time that it disrupts the flow of energy, simply because manifestation itself can not be measured.

Many artists have been inspired by mermaids. And a while ago, after living on the Gulf of Mexico for over 10 years, it crossed my mind that I should paint my own mythical Mermaid. One of the things that really fascinates me about the Gulf of Mexico is it's colors, it's amazing shades of blue, green and turquoise. So my mermaid definitely had to represent my appreciation for these amazing colors. I titled it Atargatis, simply because I loved the sound of the name.

It is a funny and sticky situation when it comes to rumors. According to Websters dictionary,a rumor is defined as;Pinformation or a story that is passed from person to person but has not been proven to be true. With this being the definition, why put so much of your energy to something that is not…

The Sci-Fi Gene: Stonely's Pet Dinosaur Book Trailer

Book trailer made for the launch of Stonely's Pet Dinosaur, a new rhyming picture book written by Naomi Burman-Shine and illustrated by Callum Graham. This was a lot of fun to make. The book is available now from the Stonely's Pet Dinosaur website here, or via Amazon here - so if you know any kids that like dinosaurs (rare I know) then check it out.
